What are Anti-Lock Brakes?

When Your ABS Light Turns On

Depending on when the light comes on:

• Flashes at startup: Normal system self-test, no action needed.
• On at startup and stays on: ABS has detected an issue. Brakes still work, but anti-lock function is disabled. Drive carefully until serviced.
• On while driving: ABS has stopped working. Book an inspection immediately.
• ABS + brake lights on: Serious brake system issue. Stop safely and call for assistance.

Is it Safe to Drive?
